I think I based that comment on a review of the Pegasus before it was carbon fiber. I know Cinevate renamed a few of its products so maybe that was where the confusion came from. I had a quick look into it and struggled to find any information on how much noise is generated from the Pegasus - which probably suggests that it is in fact, as you said, very quiet. I have amended the above summary accordingly. Thanks again.

Re: Best Slider for DSLR Video

Hey Brett,
This is a great, comprehensive overview of sliders. I wanted to ask about the Pegasus remarks though, as I think you may have mixed it up with the Atlas 30 or 200. The Pegasus Carbon system shown weighs in at 7 lbs and is actually almost silent. The Atlas 30 and 200 sliders run on solid steel rails, making them much heavier than the Pegasus slider which runs on carbon. The Atlas 30 and 200 also use linear bearings, combined with the steel rails it turns out to be an extremely smooth but also a tad noisier than other sliders. Hope this helps clarify any confusion. Keep up the good work!

Luke

Re: ‘DSLR Filmmaker Toolkit’ Aims to Be the Swiss Army Knife of On-set iPhone Apps

wow this looks mad...that would be really handy to have on set with an ipad.
